Our story
Ha’penny View House is the result of a shared vision rooted in respect for historic buildings, thoughtful design and a strong sense of place. Set within a 206-year-old townhouse, overlooking the River Liffey, the house has been carefully renovated to celebrate its original character while adapting it for modern city stays.
The full renovation was led by the creative minds behind Clare Island Lighthouse, known for their sensitive and considered approach to restoring historic buildings. Their experience in transforming a remarkable landmark into a place to stay has influenced the way Ha’penny View House was reimagined with an emphasis on restraint, authenticity and longevity rather than trend.
Under the operation of Number 59, that vision is brought to life through calm, well-considered interiors and a seamless, well-run guest experience. Combined, these two approaches come together to create something quietly distinctive: a historic Dublin house, thoughtfully renewed and carefully operated, offering a refined yet effortless place to stay in the heart of the city.
